Aroma & Colour This salt is completely odourless and has a radiant white, sparkling colour. The coarse, irregular crystals are visual proof of the natural drying process on the coast.

Taste A pure, intense saltiness with a subtle mineral undertone. Because of the thickness of the grains, they dissolve slowly, releasing a small explosion of flavour with every bite that lifts the other ingredients to a higher level.

Texture A firm, robust grain (1,6 - 4,0 mm). This fraction is exceptionally suitable for salt mills, because the grains are not too fine and allow a mechanical grinder to work optimally for an even distribution.

Uses & tips

• Salt mill: The perfect size for refilling your table mill, allowing you to determine the coarseness of the grind yourself.

• Salt crust: Ideal for preparing fish or poultry in a salt crust, where the coarse grains provide perfect insulation and flavour transfer.

• Finishing: Use the whole grains on freshly baked focaccia or over a thick steak for a fantastic bite and visual presentation.

• Curing: The purity makes this salt exceptionally suitable for dry-curing vegetables or fish.

• Storage: Store cool and dry. Because this salt contains no anti-caking agents, it is sensitive to moisture; a well-sealed jar keeps the crystals loose and clear.
