The closure The tea egg is fitted with a reliable clasp mechanism. This keeps the egg firmly closed during infusion, so even coarser tea leaves or spices remain neatly inside.

The material Stainless steel is naturally hygienic and neutral in aroma and flavour. It is also resistant to the high temperatures of boiling water and easy to clean, making this tea egg a hygienic partner in the kitchen.

The size With a diameter of 4.5 cm, this model offers just enough space for one generous measuring spoon of tea. This is the ideal amount for a standard cup (approx. 200-250 ml), giving the leaves sufficient room to swell and release their aromas.

Serving tips & Care

• Use: Fill the egg roughly halfway with loose tea. Give the tea space; too much tea in a small egg restricts extraction of the flavours.

• Tea advice: Especially suitable for black tea, firm herbal infusions and rooibos. For very fine teas, we recommend our paper filters.

• Care: After use, simply empty and rinse under the tap. The tea egg is dishwasher-safe, although hand washing extends the shine of the steel.

• Moment: Perfect for that quiet moment halfway through the day, when you want maximum flavour with minimum effort.
