At Chocolates Marcos Tonda, where they have honoured the traditions of the maestro chocolatero since 1793, the selection of the finest ingredients is central. For this delicacy, the macadamia nut was chosen for its unique qualities: a high content of healthy oils and a brittle, buttery texture unlike anything else.

At Brouwhoeve, we appreciate the complexity of this product. The macadamia is first roasted very lightly to bring out its natural, mild sweetness. It is then coated with a balanced layer of chocolate and finally rolled in the finest cocoa powder. This powder provides an elegant, matte finish and an immediate flavour explosion of pure cocoa at the first touch. This is a grown-up treat that excels in balance and mouthfeel.

  • Serve at room temperature (20°C - 21°C). This is essential for the macadamia nut; at this temperature the buttery fats in the nut come fully into their own.

  • Beer: A superb match with our ALTHAIA Sirocco (Barley Wine). The complex malt tones and light alcoholic warmth of the beer enhance the creaminess of the macadamia.
