Food products, allergens, and food safety

This attachment applies to delicatessen, food products, gift packages, and composite packages.


1. Product information


Brouwhoeve Delicatessen provides product information as completely as possible.

Food products include, among other things:
● product name;
● ingredients;
● allergens;
● content;
● nutritional value;
● storage advice;
● usage advice where necessary;
● country of origin or provenance where required;
● alcohol percentage for beverages over 1.2%;

● name and address of manufacturer, trader, or importer where required. 

2. Allergens


1. Allergens should preferably be listed per product.
2. In composite packages, it must be clear for each component which allergens
may be present.
3. For unpackaged food products or products where allergen information is not
fully on the product page, the customer must be able to request information directly.
4. Products may contain traces of allergens if that is relevant based on risk analysis

or supplier information. 



3. Shelf life and storage


1. The customer must store products according to the instructions on the packaging, label, or
product page.
2. Brouwhoeve Delicatessen is not liable for quality loss due to incorrect
storage after receipt.
3. Perishable products must be checked immediately upon receipt and stored according to
the instructions.


4. Gift packages


1. In gift packages, the composition may change if a product is not available
.
2. In case of replacement, an equivalent alternative will be chosen as much as possible.
3. For packages with allergens or alcohol, the customer must check whether the
package is suitable for the recipient.


5. Complaints about food products


Complaints about food products must be reported as soon as possible after receipt.
Please preferably include:
● Order number;
● Photo of the product;
● Photo of the label;
● Photo of batch code or expiration date;
● Description of the complaint;
● Storage conditions after receipt.
