The Marcos Tonda Mixed Pralines bring the best of two worlds together in one luxury box. 

This selection contains refined pralines made with both intense dark chocolate and velvety milk chocolate, both filled with a rich Turrón cream. The combination of powerful cocoa from Villajoyosa and soft, almond-rich nougat from nearby Jijona provides an authentic Spanish flavour sensation. Brouwhoeve pralines: The flavour of Alicante, chocolate meets turrón

In the Alicante region, the combination of chocolate and Turrón (Spanish nougat) is legendary. Since 1793, the Tonda family has perfected the art of the praline, and with this mix they celebrate their heritage. Every praline is filled with a smooth filling of Turrón de Jijona (the soft variety), made from roasted almonds and honey.

At Brouwhoeve, we appreciate the duality in this mix. The milk chocolate pralines emphasise the creamy, sweet character of the almond filling, while the dark pralines provide a beautifully bitter counterpoint to the honeyed nuts in the Turrón. This is an artisan product in which no compromises have been made on quality: only the best cocoa and the purest almonds find their way into this box.

Aroma: An intoxicating mix of warm cocoa, roasted almonds and a subtle hint of blossom honey.

              * Dark variety: Powerful and deep, where the bitterness of the 55% cocoa elegantly balances the sweetness of the honey filling.

Texture: A thin, cracking chocolate shell that gives way to a soft, grainy and rich nougat filling.

The ultimate moment or enjoyment

  • Serve the pralines at room temperature (20°C - 21°C). If they are too cold, the Turrón filling is too firm; at room temperature, the filling is smooth and the aromas of the honey are released.

  • Present the mix with a cup of coffee or as a luxurious finish to a Mediterranean dinner.

Drink pairing

  • Beer: A superb match with our ALTHAIA Cornamusa (Oatmeal Stout). The roasted notes of the beer and the almond flavour of the Turrón enhance one another magically.

  • Wine & liqueur: Beautiful with a glass of sweet Mistela (local dessert wine from Alicante) or a small glass of artisan brandy.

Storage advice & characteristics

Gourmet experience: Every praline is a small work of art, in which the intensity of the cocoa contrasts beautifully with the sweet, creamy texture of the turrón.

Tradition: Made according to the family recipes of the historic chocolatiers of Villajoyosa.

Storage conditions: Store cool, dry and free from odours. The ideal storage temperature is between 18°C and 22°C. Keep the pralines out of direct sunlight to preserve the delicate filling and the gloss of the chocolate.
