The included polished steel paella pan (30 cm) is a classic; the material conducts heat extremely quickly and evenly, which is crucial for achieving the famous socarrat (the crisp layer of rice at the bottom). Combined with the Arroz de Valencia (D.O.), a rice grain known for its exceptional absorption capacity, you are assured of rice that is saturated with flavour without losing its structure.

The liquid base of your dish is formed by the Brouwhoeve Coupage Olive Oil. This extra virgin oil, pressed from a selection of the finest Spanish olives, offers a silky-smooth mouthfeel with subtle notes of fruit and almond. To complete the whole, the package includes the exclusive saffron spice mix. Saffron, also known as "red gold", gives the rice not only its characteristic deep yellow colour, but also a clear aroma that is indispensable for an authentic experience. Characteristics

The Pan (Acero Pulido) This traditional 30 cm pan is ideal for 2 to 4 portions. Polished steel responds directly to temperature changes. Please note: clean thoroughly after use and rub with a drop of oil to prevent oxidation; this is part of the charm of authentic steel.

The Rice (Arroz de Valencia) This quality rice carries the official Denominación de Origen certificate. The rounded grain has been specially selected because it can absorb up to three times its own volume in stock, delivering an explosion of flavour in every bite.

The Olive Oil (Coupage 100ml) A masterful Coupage blend that offers the perfect balance between bitter, fruity and sweet. Ideal for sautéing the ingredients and adding a healthy, aromatic base to your sofrito.

The Saffron (Sazonador con Azafrán) The spice mix combines natural saffron with other traditional spices. This ensures consistent quality and simple dosing, so your paella always develops that clear, golden-yellow colour.

  • Flavour build-up: Start by heating the Brouwhoeve oil and fry your meat, fish or vegetables until golden brown before adding the rice and saffron spices.

  • Pan care: Always wash the pan by hand. Do not use aggressive scouring agents. Dry the pan immediately after washing and apply a thin layer of oil with kitchen paper.

    • Ingredients: 100% round rice (D.O. Arroz de Valencia).

  • Brouwhoeve Olive Oil Coupage (100 ml):

    • Ingredients: 100% extra virgin olive oil (blend of various olive varieties).

  • Sazonador Paella con Azafrán (Saffron Spice Mix):

    • Ingredients: Colouring preparation (maize flour, salt, colouring: E-102*), thyme, rosemary, black pepper, mild paprika extract, clove, nutmeg and ground saffron (2%).

    • Allergens: Contains sulphites (naturally present in the spices). May contain traces of soy.

    • *Please note: E-102 may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children.

Preparation advice

  1. Preparation: Use the 30 cm pan for up to 4 people.

  2. Dosing: Use approx. 100g rice and 250-300ml stock/water per person. One sachet of spice mix (if supplied in sachet packaging) is generally sufficient for 500g rice.

  3. Cooking: Heat the oil, fry your meat/fish/vegetables, add the rice and briefly fry together. Add the liquid and the spice mix. Do not stir once the rice is boiling for the best texture.
