The included Arroz de Valencia (1 kg) has protected designation of origin (D.O.) and is known for its ability to absorb all liquid flavours deep into the grain without losing its bite. The driving force behind the flavour is the Marinera mix. This spice combination, enriched with real saffron, is specifically balanced to enhance the delicate flavour of fish and shellfish and give the rice that desired golden-yellow hue.

The preparation naturally begins with the Brouwhoeve Coupage Olive Oil. This 100% extra virgin oil acts as the perfect carrier for the spices and provides a rich, fruity base note in your dish. Everything comes together in the 30 cm polished steel paella pan, the standard in Spain for optimal heat distribution. This package is an honest and refined starting point: you only need to add fresh fish, stock or seafood to conjure a masterpiece onto the table. A transparent and high-quality package for anyone who wants to turn cooking into an experience.

Characteristics

The Pan (Traditional Steel) This 30 cm pan (suitable for 2 to 4 people) is made from polished steel. This material is prized because it encourages the formation of the 'socarrat' – the caramelised rice layer on the base. Please note: steel is sensitive to rust; dry the pan immediately after use and apply a thin layer of oil for protection.

The Rice (Valencian Quality) The rounded grain from the Albufera region is king among paella rice. It provides a loose, flavourful grain that carries the essence of the Marinera spices clearly to your taste buds.

The Marinera Spice Mix The producer's experts have composed a blend centred on saffron, complemented by spices that pair perfectly with prawns, mussels and squid. It saves you time and guarantees a consistent, authentic flavour.

The Olive Oil (100ml Coupage) A careful selection of Spanish olive varieties creates an oil with both power and elegance. Indispensable for the base (the sofrito) of your Marinera creation.


Useful Tips for the Cook

  • The Sofrito: Briefly sauté your fish in Brouwhoeve oil, remove it from the pan and use the remaining oil to lightly toast the rice and spices until glossy for maximum flavour transfer.

  • Stock: For an optimal result, use a good fish stock to cook the rice.

  • Cleaning: Leave the pan to soak briefly with water and a drop of soap after eating, but preferably avoid sharp scrapers to protect the surface of the pan.

  • Features: Original Spanish import; complete base for fish paella; pan suitable for gas burners and open fire.

  • Brouwhoeve Olive Oil Coupage (100 ml):

    • Ingredients: 100% extra virgin olive oil (blend of various olive varieties).

  • Sazonador Paella Marinera with Saffron (Spice Mix):

    • Ingredients: Salt, garlic, mild paprika (pimentón), maize flour, colouring (E-102*), pepper, clove and saffron (2%).

    • Allergens: Contains sulphites (naturally present in spices). May contain traces of soy, FISH, CRUSTACEANS and MOLLUSCS.

    • *Please note: E-102 may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children.

Preparation advice

  1. Preparation: The 30 cm pan is perfect for 4 people. Use approximately 100g rice per person.

  2. Fish base: Briefly sauté your seafood and fish (such as prawns, mussels or squid) in the olive oil and remove them from the pan.

  3. Rice & Spices: Briefly toast the rice in the remaining oil until glossy. Add stock or water (approx. 1:3 ratio). Add the Marinera spice mix to the boiling liquid and spread the rice evenly.

  4. Garnish: Return the fish and seafood to the rice for the final 5 minutes to warm through. After cooking, leave to rest for 5 minutes with a cloth over the pan.
